[ Keiichi felt shaken by his conversation with Rena, particularly after hearing what the "administration" wanted her to do. The whole thing was unsettling to him. But her determination not to accept their "help" lifted his spirits enough that he was able to think about what else they'd talked about: namely, what she'd said about Mion when he admitted that he'd kissed her.

He's been carrying those thoughts around in his head for a while now. This evening, just as he had on that eventful night, he knocks on her bedroom door, his heart pounding a little bit harder in his chest.

Rena's words echo in his mind. Mion is very cute. ... Well if it made you both happy... shouldn't you just keep going from there? Right. Mion had even said she was happy after their kiss... so what was there to be afraid of? ]

Hey, Mion? Is now a good time?

... Yeah, it's fine. Come in.

[He'll probably notice that if he opens the door that Mion's hair is a little wet and that she has it in a towel - it's clear that she got back from the shower not too long ago, but she's thankfully dressed in proper pajama wear, even if her current state might make her definitely look like her sister.]

[ He says the next words so quietly that it might be hard for her to hear them. ]

[A beat, and then she takes a breath in, trying to steel herself.]

It makes me happy... when you treat me like a proper girl, Kei-chan. And we might not be in Hinamizawa, and everything really is weird, but... I-

Kei-chan, you're important to me. And to be honest, I'm a little scared what might happen if we changed our relationship like this.

[ His voice trails off for a second, and his face becomes redder and redder. ]

[ He squeezes her gently with his arms, bringing a hand up to he back of her head. His lips brush softly against her bangs as he says it again, stroking her hair gently. ]

I love you, Mion.

[ It's easier to say those words the second time. But he doesn't expect her to agree just because he said those words. If she needs more time, if she needs to sort things out first, he'll understand.

For now, though, he does want to keep hugging her... if that's okay. ]

... Yeah. I believe you.

[She says those words softly as he holds her close like this. It's nice... and warm. And comforting. Like the world could end here and she'd be fine with it. If time stopped? Just let her have this moment with him.]

You're not the type of person who would joke about something like that after all, Kei-chan.

[Even if she is now officially embarrassed.]
